What is a Fresh 48 Newborn Session?

A Fresh 48 session is a newborn session that takes place in your hospital room after baby has arrived and is typically about 48 hours (2 days) new. I will be capturing images of your baby's first 48 hours being born and including the hospital environment as well. I will use the hospital swaddle blanket that baby is usually wrapped in while laying in the bassinet and take detail images of baby's eyelashes, hands, feet, hair, etc. I can use a swaddle blanket you brought from home as well.

Parents and siblings are more than welcome to be included in this session. If not, then you can schedule a newborn lifestyle session to take place in your home when baby comes home.

This type of session includes a password protected gallery for viewing images. Prints and products are sold separately. This session usually takes anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour at the most to capture everything.

Why do a Fresh 48 Newborn Session?

Newborns change so much within a few days and even weeks. Documenting those first 48 hours is special and you never get those moments back. The hospital environment is definitely different that having a session done in your home or at a studio.

How much time does a Fresh 48 Session take?

Most sessions are 30 minutes but could take up to 1 hour depending on the baby.

When should I schedule a Fresh 48 Newborn Session?

Contact me BEFORE you deliver and let me know when your due date is so I can put you on my calendar. I will tentatively schedule your session 1-2 days around your due date and of course adjust the date from when you actually deliver.

Can parents and siblings be included in the Fresh 48 Session?

I highly encourage parents and siblings to be apart of the newborn photo session. I love the different combinations of photos that can be created with just parents and siblings added to the session.

If you prefer to just have photos of your new bundle of joy, that's fine too. We can always schedule a Newborn Session to take place at your house or in the studio to include parents and siblings.

When will my gallery be available?

Please allow at least five (5) days for the gallery to be edited and uploaded to your viewing site where you will have access to download the images. You will also be able to place a print or products order as well.

How much does a Fresh 48 Newborn Session cost?

$300 includes my time, expertise, preparation for the session, editing, and uploading images to password protected site for viewing and downloading images.

Digital images are included in the session fee that is paid. All digital images are available to download when the gallery link is sent to your email. Expect the gallery link to be available up to 1 week from your session date.
